A Forest Service outdoor fireplace and benches are in front of the porch for BBQ's and socializing with friends A New Propane water heater, new batteries for the solar system and a 12 volt water pump were installed 2 years ago.The 500 gallon propane tank is maintained full by Gunnison Amerigas. Propane fuels the full size RV refrigerator with freezer, a stand alone propane Domestic freezer, a 4 burner stove with a large oven, a new water heater for hot showers, and an RV propane lantern. Solar panels generate 12 volts DC and an Inverter provides 115 Volt AC power throughout the cabin and workshop. Occasional high electric needs are provided by the Homelite 115 volt AC, 5,500 watt generator, located in the separated shed. 12 volt DC power is also wired inside the cabin for the water pump, refrigerator igniter, water pump, lighting and to the workshop. Excellent TV/ radio reception, and Cell Phone DATA 5G/LTE internet are a rare benefit because W-mountain and Gunnison are in direct view. There is a TV, a stereo, DVD player and two Sony speakers. The cast iron wood fireplace efficiently maintains the entire cabin at a comfortable temperature. One piece solid Black Pearl granite countertops are throughout the cabin. All cabinets are matching Oak. ltalianmarble covers the bathroom vanity counter top. The kitchen features a commercial large stainless steel double sink and countertop.Three water tanks: the 1,500 gallon tank storing spring water is reserved for emergency use, the 400 gallon tank stores rain water and a 55 gallon steel tank is next to the wood fireplace for winter household use. (All tanks could be filled with Gunnison drinking water if so desired.) Drinking and cooking water is obtained free from Gunnison City. An additional 40 gallons of this water is stored inside for winter use. Hot and cold water are available year around through interior copper plumbing, pressurized with a 12 volt pump. A new domestic RV no flush toilet is in the bath.
