Home is high on a hill, with a 2 1/2 car garage (for storing the boat) which is on the lower part of the property and easily accessible. You can always find awesome glass water for water skiing, wakeboarding, surfing. This recreational lake is very large and there are many quiet coves to get away. There are marinas at both ends of the lake in Aztec, NM and Arboles (Two Rivers Marina). Great bass, northern pike, cokanese salmon and crappie fishing on the lake. There are 3-4 fishing tournaments a year. Below the dam at Aztec, NM there is protected fly fishing for brown and rainbow trout. One of the best areas in CO for deer, elk and bear hunting. You are exactly an hour (no traffic) to get to Wolf Creek ski area that generally has epic snowfall. You are also about 1 1/2 hours away from Purgatory (Durango Mountain) ski area, also very little traffic. And 15 mi. from Ignacio. There is a casino w/bowling alley, museum and a entertainment venue for comedy and music. Also Pagosa Springs is 35 mi. and and 40 mi. from Durango. Pagosa is well known for it's wonderful hot springs pools and Durango is a quaint mountain town that offers biking, hiking, and a narrow gauge train ride into Silverton, CO which is an old mining community. For weekend trips this location is close to Telluride for music and film festivals, Taos NM shopping and skiing, Ouray for camping and hot springs.
