One room cabin built in 1948. Cabin sits on treated lumber over a bed of gravel. This property has a rich history of hunt...ing, fishing, and campfire stories. All of which could be your story! The Old School way! The small lakes, beaver ponds and streams east of the property originate from the upper headwaters of Little Willow Creek. This small creek curves around the east side of the ridge and flows under a R/R bridge about 1/2 mile south. Frequently caught grayling by fly fishing this area. Little Willow Creek is 1 mile south, mile 190.5, on the R/R tracks with rainbows, grayling and salmon. You can walk a trail to the upper reaches of this stream by taking a path east that starts at the 191 mile R/R milepost which is about 5/8 of a mile south of the property. This is for the most part an un-fished section of Little Willow Creek that has consistently been productive. Fishing in Kashwitna Lake should be decent. Grouse hunting is good in the fall and walking the ridge line east has traditionally been good moose hunting. Back in the day a rubber boat to float the proceeds of the hunt out to the R/R tracks where the train would pick up and take back to Anchorage.
