This could be one of the best combination waterfowl and whitetail hunting tracts we've listed in years. It's a little raw, but it truly offers fantastic duck hunting potential, with up to 22+ acres of shallow water pools. It is located only a couple hundred yards from the banks of the Mississippi River and sits just across the road from the Keithsburg Division of the Port Louisa National Wildlife Refuge, which is 1,400 acres and was established for the protection of migratory birds and other wildlife. This unique property was previously crossed by the railway that brought life to rural parts of Mercer County. The remaining steel railroad bridge is a historically significant icon of the countryside and a very cool feature of this property. Pope Creek, known for producing many trophy quality bucks each year, traverses through the northern end of the property. The timber is thick and brushy, and littered with rubs and trails. In addition to hunting, you can enjoy camping, off-roading, kayaking, swimming and fishing in the creek, or boating in the very nearby river. The land can be accessed by the west side from the highway, or from the southeast side off of Lincoln Street.
