Discover the allure of mountain life with this property nestled along a paved road and spanning both sides of the picturesque Umatilla River. The northern side of the property offers access from a paved road and a large flat area that features 2 gated entrances sits near the river and is an excellent spot for camping and gathering with friends and family. There is even a great swimming hole in the river right by the camping area that provides a perfect place to cool off on a hot day. An overgrown trail sits just up from the river and leads to another flat that could easily be cleared out for additional usable space. An older home that was damaged in a previous flood and needs to be torn down sits just south of the river. The home was accessed by driving across the river which was typically accessible for 7-8 months out of the year when the water levels of the river are low. With some brush clearing the trail going across the river could be opened back up and made accessible again by 4x4 vehicles. Any building on the property will need to be approved by the county but if allowed, there is a location near the old home that would make for a great building site. Power is on site to the old home location and year-round Hagan Creek flows through the property and feeds into this area as well. Heading further south on the property takes you deeper into the timbered forest which abuts miles of public lands on 2 sides. A trail could be opened up to allow vehicle/UTV access to this southern portion and giving you more convenient access to the neighboring wilderness.
