About 140 years have passed since the founders of the Gum Springs Schoolhouse and the Prairie View Cemetery came to these parts, and reminders of their presence still exists today. Not only are those plums great in preserves, they attract the wildlife. Whitetail deer, feral hogs, Rio Grande Turkeys, varmints, and more will be drawn in to the multiple clusters of plums; the cowboys that ride the property view an abundance of wildlife daily.
