The forest consists mainly of white oak near maturity and harvestability. Old logging roads can still be faintly seen and supply a way of travel through the woods. The hunting is first class in the area and is best kept a secret. Mature bucks use the property throughout the year crossing the tillable acreage to get to the next timber tract, but not before stopping and eating as they move through. If all this is not enough, the property adjoins Hoosier National Forest with direct access.
